The long awaited 1921 Census for England and Wales was launched today on Findmypast.
A quick look reveals the total amount of Levers and variants as follows:
Levers – 447
Leivers – 590
Leevers – 47 (11 born in Nottinghamshire)
Leavers – 173
Leivars – 18 (all in the Sawley and Draycott area of Derbyshire)
A grand total of 1275 bearers of Levers and variants to now track and trace.
My dad was Wilfred Leivars born 6th September 1928 in Sawley Derbyshire. He married my mum Ruth Turner 29th March 1969.
Most of my dads ancestors ( Leivars) were born in Sawley Derbyshire.
